Discover the 8 steps to the perfectly balanced taste of Martell Cordon Bleu.

Martell History -

1. Heritage: Ledendary taste since 1912

This legendary cognac  and the icon of the House of Martell was created by Edouard Martell over 100 years ago. Martell Cordon Bleu was the first extra-old cognac to have its own name and was officially launched at the prestigious Hôtel de Paris in Moncaco

2. Spirit: The use of Ugni Blanc grapes

The Ugni Blanc grapes that grow in the silica-clay soils of the Borderies give the eaux-de-vie distinctive floral aromas and an exceptonal smoothness.

3. Craft: Distillation in copper alembic

To ensure authentic flavour, traditional copper pot stills are stil used to heat the wine. As it simmers away, the vapor rises up and then condenses to form a clear warm, eau-de-vie.

4. Expertise: Distillation without lees

Of the great cognac houses, Martell is the only one to distil exclusively clear wines (from which all sediments and impurities have been removed), to produce exceptionally fine eaux-de-vie which reveal all the aromas of grape. The unique method gives the final cognac a distinctive style.
