Our visits

This guided tour is an initiation into the heart of the oldest of the great cognac houses. From its founding by Jean Martell in 1715 to the present times, you will travel through history to discover the life and philosophy of Maison Martell, and the roots of its development and success. You will meet the people who participate in the elaboration of our cognacs and contribute to their international reputation, with a focus on Martell’s art of the blend – an incomparable savoir-faire that has been handed down through nine generations of cellar masters. This 360° exploration will be followed by a tasting session at L’Atelier Martell, our new space dedicated to experiences and shopping.

Maison Martell offers you a chance to make your own cognac blend, at the Coquille tasting room. At Martell, blending is an art that has been handed down through nine generations of cellar masters. You will leave with your own customised “montre”, a 20 cl sampling bottle filled with your own blend of cognac. This unique experience will end with a tasting of Martell Chanteloup XXO, in an exclusive space accessible only to our guests.

When the night falls, Maison Martell takes you on a guided tour to discover the Gâtebourse site. This is where Jean Martell founded his cognac House, more than 300 years ago. Cellar after cellar, you will discover a place steeped in history. The tour will take you up to the Indigo by Martell bar: there, you will make this unique experience last into the night by tasting one of the House’s cocktails, while admiring the most beautiful view on the city of Cognac.

2024 Special tours on June 22th, July 20th, August 17th and September 14th: guided tour + cocktail tasting at the Indigo by Martell rooftop bar – €40/person, 2 people minimum.
